Nashville Singer Ivory Layne Shares her Latest Single for ‘Commited’

Nashville rising star Ivory Layne shared her new single for committed via billboard yesterday on June 26. Ivory, who is signed to Villa40, Justin Timberlake’s artist development company may be a young star, but her voice and elegance is soaked in nostalgia. When she was not in the limelight but desired to, she used to teach herself music production and used to sharpen her writing skills. She would post her demos and progress online.

She later collaborated with Ed Cash, Grammy award winning producer who spotted her in 2011 and together they released her very first EP, Volume one (2013). Soon she moved to Nashville from her hometown Denver, capital of Colorado. She later signed up with LBK entertainment where she associated with other Nashville songwriters like Lori Mckenna, Jimmy Robbins and Shane McAnally.

She was soon landed with two International ad campaigns which featured her title track “Something’s Gonna Happen,” 2014. After which she later worked with Andrew McMohan in the Wilderness. Between her co-write project and other projects, she was able to take up another project like ‘Brother,’ a Needtobreathe’s single.

Her flexible skill set and sweet vocals got the attention of Music superstar Justin Timberlake, who signed her to his company Villa40. From then on till now, she has worked with and drew inspiration from the likes of Peter Gabriel, Imogen Heap, Coldplay and Annie Lennox.

Ivory tells billboard, “Produced in london and written in London, ‘Committed’ is the amalgamation of cheeky, honest lyrics and my favorite 80s synths. My hope was to naturally bring nostalgic and vibrant elements to the screen. I had the privilege of working with all-female crew of Nashville to able to create something playful and certifying, and i’m thrilled to share it to the world.”
